Laraplus developed a platform with a website, online learning, community, user portal, and administration.
MS Nurse PRO is a European-focused, online learning training curriculum for nurses who work with people living with multiple sclerosis. The platform is available in 13 languages and has over 8000 users.
The project is owned by EMSP. The European Multiple Sclerosis Platform is a Pan-European umbrella organization with over 30 years of expertise that works with partners to ensure that the more than 1.2 million people living with MS in Europe have a voice.
MS Nurse PRO had an outdated platform that was missing many features. Adding languages to the platform was time consuming and expensive. None of the existing options satisfied all their needs.
When we reviewed the old platform we detected many security issues and concluded that the platform was not compliant with the strict European privacy rules.
The platform was hosted on slow servers outside of Europe and not very well maintained.
Laraplus met with the project manager of MS Nurse PRO and the management team to discuss the project.
After we registered their concerns and wishes, we created a solution design. The solution design is a document that contains all the details of the project with detailed description of the features.
Based on the verified and approved solution design document we developed the web application. Once finished, we tested the platform and finally migrated the data from the old to the new app.
